Major Website Updates

Sunday, January 2nd, 2005

I spent some time today (since the weather wasn’t as nice as yesterday) making some improvements to our website. First of all, there is a new members page. Not everyone is there yet, but I ask that each of you send me a photo, preferably with your bike, that I can post. Preferred size is 200 x 270 and jpeg format, but if you can’t do that yourself, I can do it for you.

I’ve also added a photo album page. Send me photos of rides that you’d like posted and I’ll put them in there. I’ll continue to annotate specific blog entries with photos, but I can now post a collection of photos. I’ll eventually split the album into multiple pages, but for now this works pretty well. You can click on an image and pull up a larger size version of it. I downloaded all of the images from the Yahoo group (screen size only for most photos). So send me what you’ve got, with the date and place of the pictures and I’ll put them up. In the future I’ll provide a place for you to upload your own images.

Polar Bear Ride? More Like Spring, I Think

Sunday, January 2nd, 2005

Several members of The Tribe participated in PARR’s Polar Bear Ride on New Year’s Day. This was one of the most incredible riding days I can recall, considering it was January 1st. While getting out to Loehmann’s Plaza was in the chilly 40’s, once we got on the road, the temperature quickly climb into the 60’s and even hit 70. Just fantastic.
